Messy Messy Fail - I'm pretty sure that the 15+ dead mums that I tried to winter over on the side of the garage are absolutely toast.  My mums in the garden are already sprouting green, the mums along the garage are straight up brown.

Tidy Victory - The snapdragon seeds from our winter sowing project have sprouted!  I moved the milk jugs from a shadier spot alongside our side porch to a sunny spot along our breakfast nook - it's time to grow!

Messy Messy Fail - I was talking to a co-worker and missed the chair when I tried to sit down. Humiliation at it's finest.

Tidy Victory - Maple Weekend in NYS is back!  We are headed today to a sugar shack to see their set up and get a pancake breakfast.  Here's the website to check out the different sugar shacks participating and also who is hosting a pancake breakfast.

Messy Messy Fail - I missed my seat and ending up sitting on the floor at work last Friday.  There I said it.  The only witness was a lovely paraprofessional I was chatting with, and now she thinks I'm nuts.

Tidy Victory - I purchased some ranunculus corms from an online bulb company and am SO EXCITED to try pre-sprouting them!  I'll lay them on some moist soil in a tray and keep them in a sunny yet colder room for a few weeks until they start to sprout.  Hopefully by then the ground will be workable and I'll plant them - wish me luck!

Messy Messy Fail - I was so excited to put up St. Patrick's day decor, but it's still a winter theme around here.  Today is actually the first gorgeous day but we are off to a family birthday party so no dice.  

Tidy Victory - With a little help from The Minimal Mom I was able to get some cheap containers at The Dollar Store (which is now the dollar 25 store but that's ok) and get my downstairs full bathroom drawers organized.  We would seriously just stuff and jam ANYTHING in them to keep the mess contained.  Now everything is sorted by like item and in a home - so much easier to find things in there!

Messy Messy Fail - My car, oh my goodness.  My excuse is that during the school year I am transporting to young boys and now a baby multiple times a day.  The snacks I find stashed under the seats is disgusting.......

Tidy Victory - I finally collected seeds from the fun pumpkins I've had sitting on the back deck since November! :). I got tiny orange pumpkins, small white, yellow & green, goblin and square pink pumpkin seeds.  Now I need to figure out if I should pre-sprout them or just plant then directly outside.

Messy Messy Fail - We have a mudroom at our house with tall and deep cubbies for each person.  Although they are very cute and convenient for storing everyone's stuff, they do not have a door to hide all of the stuff.  And they turn into bottomless pits that belongings are stuffed into.  Need to come up with a plan.

Tidy Victory - I have suddenly become super inspired to watch a particular Youtuber The Minimal Mom and get rid of more stuff!  It's funny - so many of the points she makes are common sense yet we don't automatically think that way!  She has excellent tips for how to get rid of stuff quickly and efficiently.

Messy Messy Fail - Tardy to the party again, my bad!

Tidy Victory - Our winter sowing project is completed!  We planted snapdragons, marigolds, echinacea and morning glory in milk jugs of potting soil outside.  We are VERY excited to see if we are able to successfully grow some annual flowers to add to our garden this year!

Messy Messy Fail - The pumpkins that I was supposed to harvest seeds from for planting continue to waste away under the snow.  We just got something like 2.5 feet of fresh snow, and it's not going anywhere too soon!

Tidy Victory - I was totally inspired by Laura at @gardenanswer to try some winter sowing - essentially you plant winter hardy seeds inside milk jugs without a cap and put them outside in the snow to start growing.  I picked up some marigold and cosmo seeds at the Dollar Tree to start!  I'm going to put those together on Sunday while it warms up to a balmy 17 degrees F.

Messy Messy Fail - A heartbreaking loss for the Buffalo Bills that ended our season last Sunday.  Ask any fan, we thought this was our year.  But that's how the world of sports goes.

Tidy Victory - I scored my first penny items at Dollar General - are you in the know?!?!?!?!  Essentially every week on Tuesdays, a few particular items in the store go on ultra-clearance for 1 penny.  This can be anything from children's cough medicine, candy, cleaning products, etc.  Not all stores carry the items so half the fun is in the search!

Messy Messy Fail - I had saved a few cute pumpkins from Halloween/Thanksgiving to harvest some seeds from.  I moved them to the back deck so they would be close to the kitchen, making me more likely to remember them.  I forgot about them - they are buried under snow and I don't know if I have the gumption to dig them out.

Tidy Victory - Made some delicious and easy recipes for dinner this week including this one for instant pot clam chowder from 4 Sons 'R' Us!

Messy Messy Fail - So when we discovered we were expecting, we decided to move our oldest into a gigantic space that was formally a guest bedroom/playroom deal.  We got rid of the guest bed and I was supposed to organize and get ride of all the other nonsense that ended up in that room.  It's still there.  This week, I swear.

Tidy Victory - I am slowly making my way through random baskets, corners, closets and drawers to get rid of STUFF!  We have a lot of stuff, let me tell you.
