Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #389

Messy Messy Fail - Of all the different pumpkin/gourd varieties I planted in my row of the patch, it appears as if the goblin pumpkins, and the green ones did not make it at all.  I'm not sure if it was the particular seeds I planted or if
those particular vines just didn't get pollinated.

Tidy Victory - My big orange pumpkins (no that's not the actual name lol), some pinks, some hubbard squash and the gourds DID form so that is super exciting!  I wish I had planted some white pumpkins (I was going to in my moon garden but honestly, just never did) so will have to add that next year.  I think it's safe to say we probably have about 50 assorted fruits that are ripening out there - go us!

Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #388

Messy Messy Fail - I was soooooo very late getting a vegetable garden going this summer that it's now a mess of tomatoes (which I did put it on time!), pepper plants, some random pumpkins that showed up (thanks critters) and watermelon vines that are doing nothing.  Did I mention I am still growing a bed of weeds?

Tidy Victory - The pumpkin patch is doing EXCELLENT.  I took a walk around and found several nice big boys - bigger than basketballs - along with a bunch of gourds, some hubbard squash and a pink pumpkin.  Can't wait to see our final harvest in October!

Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #387

Messy Messy Fail - It's amazing - at the end of June you think you have so much time to do all the things and see all the people over summer break.  Then August hits and you feel as though you've done hardly anything.  Where has the time gone?

Tidy Victory - Slowly but surely we are cleaning out and reorganizing our large bonus room to move the oldest kid out so we can then get his room ready for the baby.  Thankfully it is big enough for all of his furniture and still have room at the other end for toys and a queen bed for guests.  He's so excited to get his new big boy room!

Happiness is Homemade Link Party #386

Messy Messy Fail - I have really fallen off the workout train since school ended.  Being 6 months pregnant combined with poor sleep and overall tiredness makes for a really easy way to pass on working out every day.

Tidy Victory - Lots of gardening getting rid of unnecessary things around the house has been happening which is great!  For tax purposes, I used to make spreadsheets for ALL of our donations which took time, but since that's no longer necessary us with new laws, I just take items whenever.  So much easier!
