Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #395

Messy Messy Fail - This coming Friday SHOULD have been my last day of work, but apparently Miss Hannah Jane had a different plan.  I had previously purchased a few new bags of white tulips to plant - before the baby came.

Tidy Victory - The baby's room is slowly getting done - next is sanding and painting!  We are sleeping downstairs to let everyone upstairs get a full night's sleep so there is no terrible rush to get her room finished.

I'm so glad you're here this week to join us for Happiness is Homemade! Here you can share and be inspired by lots of posts for crafts, recipes, home decor, DIYs, gardening, family ideas, and much more. For the month of October I, Niki from Life as a LEO Wife, will be your hostess. I can't wait to dive in to all of the amazing posts that you lovely ladies (and any gents) share with us.

Before we get to the party, let's take a look at this week's extremely hard to choose features. It is the first week in October, so you may see a bit of a Halloween theme. It's not necessarily on purpose, I just love decorating for Halloween!

This Week's Features

Our first feature is this scary good pirate shipwreck wreath by Debbee from Debbee's Buzz. She outdid herself with this! In the post she was kind enough to give us all a tutorial so that we can make our own. I don't think mine will quite live up to hers because, well, just take a look.

This wreath by Ann at Ann's Entitled Life is an adorable and very budget-friendly Halloween wreath. This wreath uses sheer mesh from Dollar Tree, and it's more like tulle than regular deco mesh. You can see the difference between the sheer mesh used in this super cute wreath and the regular deco mesh by checking out my spiral deco mesh witch hat wreath. Ann's wreath is adorable, and you can made it in about an hour!

Every year I go all out on a family Halloween movie, food, and game night themed around a movie our kids pick. These easy mummy Oreos from Walking on Sunshine Recipes are the perfect quick and easy Halloween themed food to add to our family movie night. They are made from regular pre-made Oreos so you can make them in no time!

I love these little buffalo check painted pumpkins made by Shelley from Calypso in the Country. They are so cute, and very easy to make. No need to break out the painters tape and wait ages for portions to dry!

These adorable drinks with orange slice pumpkin toppers from The Kitchen is My Playground are perfect for a Halloween party or movie night. You can go all out and make the included orange creamsicle recipe, the pumpkin topper, and add jack-o-lantern faces on the glass or make them as simple as an orange soda with the orange slice topper.
