Messy Messy Fail - I literally just put my Christmas cards in the mail on FRIDAY! I keep saying it but it's all I got - Christmas just snuck on on me this year!!!!
Tidy Victory - I think other than a few last minute gifts and food items, we are ready for Christmas at our house! We always typically wrap everything on Christmas Eve after we put the kids to bed - that way everything gets put directly under the tree. Works for us!
Messy Messy Fail - Now that my middle school and high school concerts are done, I can focus on the fun part of the holidays - baking, wrapping and finishing decorating. Do you think I've baked, wrapped or finished decorating? Heck no!
Tidy Victory - I've got some time carved out before Christmas to accomplish the above - Christmas just truly snuck up this year with Thanksgiving being so late!
Messy Messy Fail - My Christmas decorations are still not up! The afternoons and evenings have been SO BUSY there just HAS NOT BEEN THE TIME! I only have three performances this week so I'm sure I'll find the time :D
Tidy Victory - The big tree in the library room is up AND HAS STAYED VERTICAL! Getting that tree up was slightly traumatic - no one is allowed to touch the tree for fear of it falling again. The kids handed me ornaments and I put them on :D!
Messy Messy Fail - Let's just call it the Great Christmas Tree Fail of 2019 - we purchased and brought home a 9 foot concolor fir tree and it REFUSED to stay upright. It fell over 3 TIMES until we found another older tree stand and managed to get it stable. The tree stand I purchased from Walmart last year that was supposed to be for 7-9 foot tree proved faulty - the little spikes that sit inside the cup of the base completely ripped out and there was nothing to keep the base of the tree steady. I'll be emailing Walmart shortly.......
Tidy Victory - Our one real tree is up in the library room along with two tiny trees I purchased last year for the kids' rooms. Just three more to go :D
