Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #230

Messy Messy Fail - You know it's funny - I think I do pretty well with houseplants and outdoor gardens, but I CANNOT keep succulents alive!  I bought the UPK'er a cute T-rex planter for his birthday with a green little succulent plant.  Thriving, living, bringing joy - yesterday I found it leafless.  Now this has been happening over the course of the last month when I first discovered it was failing quickly, but nothing I did could revive it.  New purchase at Home Depot today for 3.99 - a blue aloe.  I thought that looked like a dino-y succulent.

Tidy Victory - We had a successful blueberry harvest from the 9 bushes on our new property, and two have still yet to turn blue (there are both early AND late blueberries).  Friends came over to help because I KNOW I could never use that many blueberries.  I gave them some more rhubarb too, because that is still thriving. #welcometotherhubarbjungle

Welcome back to the Happiness is Homemade Link Party #230

Wow, we are mid-July and I am already thinking of Back to School, can you believe it. While we are starting to make lists and planning shopping trips we should not be ready to give up on summer just yet. The days are long warm and sunny and there were great ideas from last weeks posts. I am excited to extend summer as long as I can.

On with this week's features!

What cute tote bags for kids and adults alike that love the Minion Movies. Great for a beach bag, vacation bag, book bag or even a bag for Halloween candy for tricker treat. Material list and step by step instructions. Find this super cute post at Gluesticksblog.com

When you are spending all of your evenings and weekends crafting, hiking, and swimming, we all need an easy dinner that does not keep us in the kitchen. Kellylynnsweetsandtreats.com shows us how we can have a traditional take-out food right at home with this delicious Crockpot Orange Chicken.

Another cute kid craft project with a step by step instruction is Gluesticksblog.com, with Melt & Pour Glycerin Fish Soap. You will love the cute summer fish and she has several other soap projects.

Two favorite treats combined into one never looked so delicious cookie. You will want to make these for all your summer parties.  Take a look at Chocolate Chip Sandwich Cookies by Playdatesparties.com.
