Messy Messy Fail - Well not only am I posting this party SEVERAL days late BUT I also left all of my potted plants that should have been brought inside OUTSIDE and there was a frost. They are somewhat dead, but I cut them back and we'll see what happens.
Tidy Victory - I made a delicious pre-Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday night (hence why I did not post this party on time *wink wink*) - it was a little dry but I am SO GLAD to get that meat out of the freezer.
Messy Messy Fail - I went out of town again for the weekend (surprise surprise I know) and left my plants out on the back deck. Everyone kept saying how warm out it was going to be, 60 degrees or so. However not at night. My plants weren't killed but close to it, so back to my classroom they go!
Tidy Victory - I can't explain it, but I'm ready to GET RID OF STUFF! Going to start this weekend with CLOTHES - both mine and the kids. Time to scale back!
Messy Messy Fail - My sons rooms are overflowing with clothes that no longer fit. I know I should just have a tote handy and the items directly in it, but I don't. So there are piles. That the boys then knock over. Bad idea.
Tidy Victory - I have purchased enough meat to keep us going for quite some time! My trick is - I check the meat department every week and pick up anything that is marked down because it's expiring soon or whatever, and in the freezer it goes!! Great way to save on your protein!
Messy Messy Fail - My hanging baskets on my deck were such an epic fail this year its laughable. I thought the white/blue theme I was picking would work nicely, but clearly the flowers didn't agree with the light in that space. Lesson learned - no lobelia on the deck.
Tidy Victory - My sister's wedding was a huge success - such a wonderful time seeing all our family and friends from all over the country!
Messy Messy Fail - I took me nearly a year to order a new DVR box from our DirecT, and it's going to take me another to actually hook it up. I didn't want to lose all of the shows we had recorded on the old one! However it appears that we are never going to catch up lol.
Tidy Victory - We picked just one bushel of apples last weekend (as opposed to the two in previous years!) and I'm ready to make Ina's homemade applesauce and Grandma's apple crunch! Bring the yumminess on!
Messy Messy Fail - My hanging baskets on the back deck were a giant fail this year. I tried to do a blue/white combo but the blue flowers I picked (whatever they were!) got too much sun and did nothing but dry up. Mega fail!!!!!!!
Tidy Victory - The boys are ready for my sister's wedding next weekend - suits ordered, haircuts done, I even showed them a Youtube video to prep them as to what they were going to be doing. My oldest originally told me "Mommy I don't want to go to that party!". Now, they say "Mommy when is the party we are ready!"
Messy Messy Fail - I was cleaning out my gardening toolbox and area in the garage when I came upon several bags of spring bulbs that I had purchased on clearance from Walmart over the winter, clearly unplanted. Do you think I could plant them now? Have I missed my window of opportunity? Clearance is no good when you FORGET about the product!
Tidy Victory - I am actually EXCITED to go through my closet during the fall season and GET RID OF CLOTHES I DON'T WEAR! I don't know why I hold on to them, but I do. Time to free myself of my no longer fitting fashion items!

Messy Messy Fail - Don't you love it when you SWEAR you have a necessary part of your meal in your refrigerator/pantry, but then you go to get it and it's NOT THERE?!?!?! My sloppy joes were more like sloppy dogs - had to use hot dog rolls instead of the potato rolls I am still in search of!
Tidy Victory - Every couple of days I pick a drawer/cupboard somewhere in the house and spend 15 minutes reorganizing it. Now my washcloths don't spill out and all outdated prescriptions have been removed from the medicine cabinets!
Messy Messy Fail - The Big Boy (formerly the toddler) has SOOO MANY articles of clothing from gifts and hand me downs that I don't do his laundry in order to have enough room in his drawers!!!! Like, I let it pile so high, like a leaning tower of laundry. If I were to do that laundry and TRY to put it away, it would just end up in piles AROUND his dresser. Now that's a lot of clothes!
Tidy Victory - Back to school for me and it feels really good to be back on a regular schedule! I do love my summers with my family, but I was meant to be a teacher! :)
Messy Messy Fail - I cannot believe I bought light-up sneakers for the toddler. He talked me into it. I said I would never, but I gave in.
Tidy Victory - I have managed to make my gel manicure from the beginning of the month last until now - NO CHIPPING until today lol, but I think that's pretty darn good!
Messy Messy Fail - Do any of you out there have one of those wall hang calendars where you have to reset the days of the month and such with little numbered tiles every month? Let's just say it's been February in a our house for awhile, that is until my husband updated it to August.
Tidy Victory - Back to school haircuts - check. Car inspection - check. Oil change and tire rotation - check. Darn I'm good.
