Messy Messy Fail - The weeds overtaking my garden are seriously insane. At first I thought it was astilbe, but then I realized astilbe doesn't grow EVERYWHERE like this plant seemed to be. One good plant identifier app later - we are plagued with bishop's weed, an invasive plant that spreads widely underground, so pulling the plant out doesn't do much good. Not sure how I can take care of this one, it's seriously everywhere!
Tidy Victory - We got some seeds finally planted in the raised bed last week - some quick growing lettuce, carrots and pumpkins. I've never had a veggie garden before, so we are taking it easy and just experimenting to see how it goes. So far I see little pumpkin plants coming up!

I love to look at all the great ideas (I can not tell you how many I save to my Pinterest boards). I hope you are having as much fun as I am. I am so excited to be picking out the featured posts and I know you will love them. As we are close to the 4th of July week I have some fabulous ideas for you.

On with this week's features!
Because I love everything S'Mores you will want to make a batch of Heather's S'Mores Popcorn Balls. You could make these any time of the year, and the 4th is a perfect excuse to make a big batch for your family celebration. Find the recipe and instructions at Happiest Camper.com
Every picnic or family 4th celebration need a fun activity for the kids. Angie has the perfect fun sidewalk chalk project for decorating your lawn for the 4th of July. She has a great video that shows you exactly how to use the paint for your decorations and how to get the kids involved. You will love Chalk Spray Paint: How to Use on Your Lawn at Thecountrychiccottage.net.
Jenna has a super cute table that she painted to have a beachy colored look. You could use this as a side table on your deck or porch and it screams summer and the beach. All the instructions and video included. How to Create a Beachy Colored Look with Paint at Rainonatinroof.com
I believe it is so important to remember on the three major summer holiday, the men & women who give us our freedoms to live the lives of our dreams. Whether you are visiting the link party as a blogger or a mom looking for ideas, we need to remember families like Jennifer's who keep us safe. Jennifer shares her Tips to Navigate Motherhood When Your Spouse is Deployed. From Jenniferlambert.com
