Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #360

Messy Messy Fail - I can't remember the last time I washed my hair.  There I said it.

Tidy Victory - I am very proud to say I received my first of two shots for my Covid vaccine.  As a teacher in New York state, we have been given priority to receive the shot so we can continue teaching and I was happy to oblige.  I'll admit, last year I was nervous about receiving the vaccine so early but now I'm confident that this is definitely the right thing to do!

Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #359

Messy Messy Fail - My arms are dead.  My shoulders are toast.  Snowmobiling, skiing, snowmobiling for pretty much three consecutive nights.  Today is a day of much needed rest.

Tidy Victory - We are super excited that the snowmobile trails are open, so we took advantage stat!  We took the boys out on our sleds to grab a quick dinner on Wednesday night, and then the adult boys and I went out day riding yesterday.  There is nothing is gorgeous as riding through snow covered pines on a trail!

Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #358

Messy Messy Fail - So I had bought a giant hubard squash from an Amish farm in the fall to make soup.  Until it was time to cut it up, I left it on the front porch with the other pumpkins and gourds to serve as a decoration for the fall.  As Christmas came upon us, I moved any of them that were still in good shape to the backyard to make way for Christmas decorations.  Well, now it's the middle of January and guess what I forgot about?  I'll check and see if it hasn't been compromised, but we'll see.

Tidy Victory - All Christas decorations are put away and the house is in pretty good shape!  Do you agree that Christmas is more fun to PUT UP than PUT AWAY? :D

Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #357

Messy Messy Fail - Why do I make so many Christmas cookies that my family does not eat?  Because ya know, I feel obligated to eat them so they don't go to waste.  I'd throw them out but I'd still feel wasteful, so instead I eat them at an alarming rate.

Tidy Victory - Christmas trees are either put away or undecorated (is that even a word?).  Although I do love having them all up and looking so beautiful for the holidays it's nice to have the house back.  Just to be clear, I am NOT one of those who takes all the holiday decor down the day after Christmas, but that's only because I go it all up only about 2 days before Christmas. :D

Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #356

Messy Messy Fail - We certainly got a great deal on our tree this year - his name is Fatty B. Spruce.  However, a good portion of Mr. Spruce is now a pile of short, sharp needles on the ground.  No amount of water was going to keep Fatty on this planet any longer.

Tidy Victory - We made it through another holiday season, I DID NOT put up all my holiday decor and I DO NOT FEEL BAD ABOUT IT.  I always felt as though all of it had to go up, have a place.  But honestly I think it was better just getting out what I wanted and being okay with that.
