Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #272

Messy Messy Fail - I am trying to figure out why the lilacs didn't bloom nearly as much as last year.  I THOUGHT you were not supposed to do anything to the bushes after they bloomed, so I did nothing.  I asked a garden expert and they said DEAD HEAD, GIRL.  I'll be snipping those babies off this year and hope that helps next year's blooms!

Tidy Victory - We scored some really beautiful fuchsia hanging baskets - I had to go to two greenhouses to find full ones with good blooms, but we (the boys and I) prevailed and SCORED!

Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #271

Messy Messy Fail - I still can't get over the petrified paw I found.  The chair - and possibly final resting place of the body the paw belonged to - still sits in the living room.  I just don't know what to do, clean it out or throw it out.  Not sure what I'm talking about?  Go back to this post and see!

Tidy Victory - Beautiful weather is rolling in and it feels SO GOOD TO BE OUTSIDE!  Continuing to slowly clean up the beds, get the vegetables in place and deciding which hanging baskets to buy!  Last year, I put up red million bells and they didn't do so hot, too shady on the front porch.  Perhaps fuchsia baskets this year!

Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #270

Messy Messy Fail - So this was the ultimate SUPREME messy fail ever - Long story short, I was cleaning the crevices out of an old wingback chair that we have that typically has a cover on it (that was in the wash) when I pulled out a few toys.  I dug in a little deeper in hopes of finding more toys when I pulled out a PETRIFIED PAW.  As in an animal paw, like a squirrel or something.  My shock and horror was pretty intense.  I even documented it on my Instagram Stories (click on the Messy Fails category at the top).  We have no idea how long that's been in there,  from the state of the paw it looks as though it was a pretty long time.  My husband is going to decide if he wants to dig for more or just TOSS IT!

Tidy Victory - I just finished weeding out 2 of our 4 raised beds to get them ready for our seeds that we started in doors.  We planted radishes, onions, carrots, peas, beans, zucchini and lettuce.  Most of them have already started to sprout and the boys are super excited!  I've never started seeds indoors before so I was happy to see it worked!

Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #269

Messy Messy Fail - I KNEW I should have double checked what time church started in the morning before I went this morning.  Last time I went, (which definitely wasn't last February *cough cough*) it was 8:30, and I guess they changed it to 8:15.  Better late than never.

Tidy Victory - If you didn't see in my Instagram stories already, I snagged the most EPIC purchase from TJMaxx EVER - go check it out if you want to have your #mindblown!
