Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #234

Messy Messy Fail - I left my viola at orchestra camp.  This is what I tell me students not to do, or make fun of them when they do it (leave their instruments behind somewhere). And I just did it.  I hang my head in shame.

Tidy Victory - In our garden veggie garden, we have four square raised beds.  I may have mentioned it before but I was able to clean and weed out two of them to try planting some veggies this year.  We also have a compost bin that I did dig in to - without any planning or prior knowledge I grabbed some bucks of compost and mixed it in with the dirt in the raised beds.  Plants in - done.  Now not only do I have a rhubarb jungle BUT a tomato and squash jungle as well.  I'm pretty sure I have hundreds of tomatoes, and the plants are so big they are knocking over the cages they are in.  So I guess compost is helpful!

Welcome to the Happiness is Homemade Link Party #234

Welcome to the party. I am so delighted that you have joined us. With school starting in many areas already or about to start, today's features focus on back to school. We have after school snacks, helpful school projects and menu lunch planning, plus a special sweet treat.  Hope you find some inspiration. ~Bev @Eclecticredbarn.blogspot.com

On with this week's features!

Features include:

What do you give the kids for a snack when they come home after school? You want them to have something healthy and they want it to be good.  Don't panic because Lisa has some great ideas for you - in fact 18 after school snacks.

It is a new school year and what better way to get it off to a great start than this awesome book cover. You can get all of the details over at Dazzled and Frazzled.

As kids go back to school, you might be wondering how you can give back to your child's school. Lindsay has a great idea to give back and involve your child. Check out her idea at Simply September.

Do you wish your kids actually ate their lunch? Well, Jessica has a wonderful idea to get them involved in deciding what they want for lunch. Stop by and get ideas and her printable.

The kids (and the adults too) will love a yummy sweet dessert that starts with Ann's biscuits. Check out the complete recipe over at 5 Minutes for Mom.
